Offering: A Creative Prayer Workshop

This optional additional workshop is available to attendees (men and women) of the morning retreat "Show Me Your Glory" for an additional fee. You will need to register again. 

The Creative Prayer Workshop is for retreat attendees who desire to move from reflecting on John 11 where we consider how God's glory is revealed and displayed in our lives in hard times, often through challenging or painful seasons, to reflecting on an offering of worship like Mary's anointing of Jesus in John 12.

John prefaces the story of Lazarus' death with a reference to Mary's anointing of Jesus. Then after the story of John 11,  that describes uncertainty, risk and pain, waiting, grief, struggle, faith, hope, and resurrection that the friends of Jesus experienced, John 12 follows. Mary annoints Jesus' feet with costly oil, costly worship.

This creative workshop  will invite you to prayerfully listen and reflect on your life and your offering to God. This workshop is about worship. We will move through different prayer prompts, silent space, and reflection time to create a collage offering for Jesus.

• no artistic skill or creative bent is required to engage this creative practice
• materials will be provided: a canvas board, Modpodge and rubber cement, magazines, images (black and white line images from my work will be available), text, markers, paint (if desired).
• this can be as simple or complex as you desire 

It is not necessary, but you may bring:

• your own magazines, personal photos, text
• your own tools: scissors or or anything you might want to use (fine tip pen or markers)

I am so anticipating this restorative time together as we pay attention to what we may offer Jesus as worship, as Mary did.

I will need 6 registrations to hold this workshop.

Because of the expense of supplies the workshop is a fixed fee.
