Weekend Retreat: Grief, Celebration, and Communion

Spend a meaningful weekend attending to God. This retreat is designed for those who shepherd and serve. This is space to step away from your usual responsibilities for a little while and slow down. Allow yourself to feel the experiences of your heart: lament loss, receive God's delight and love, and commune deeply with the Creator and Lover of your Soul.  

This retreat will take place at The Welcoming Place, 21 S 12th St, Akron, PA 17501.

The retreat fee is $290 per person early registration (by February 16) and $340 registration by March 2nd  (There is no refund after March 2nd, but you may transfer your ticket.) There is limited space.

This retreat includes:

• Lodging: Lodging for two nights in a single occupancy room in our Guesthouse. Bedding and towels included.  (Dual occupancy is an option if you desire for a $30 discount per person. But I encourage you to consider setting this time aside for solitude and silence.)
• Arrival: You may arrive at 1pm on Friday and your room will be ready at 3pm so you can settle in. Dinner is not provided on Friday, so bring dinner with you if  you plan to arrive in the afternoon. Check in with Christine at 6pm, and we will meet for our first session on Friday at 6:30pm. 
• Food: Four meals provided and some snacks. You are welcome to bring snacks. There is a small kitchen in the guesthouse for our use.
• Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided on Saturday and Sunday breakfast. Most meals will be provided in the dining hall where another group will also be present but we have the option of taking our meal back to the guest house. 
• Check out: Check out is 11:00am on Sunday.
• Gathering: We will meet Friday evening, Saturday after breakfast. Saturday afternoon is unscheduled time. We will gather after dinner Saturday evening and after breakfast on Sunday.
• Solitude: Saturday afternoon is unscheduled time. Take a nap, spend time journaling, being creative, or in prayer. Explore the grounds or sit by the fireplace. 
• Retreat Materials: A retreat folder with materials will be provided and an art print. And a retreat welcome surprise : )
